I'm Katherine Prieto, a full-stack developer. I take ambiguous problems and ship simple, maintainable systems: web apps, AI features, and the automation that holds them together.

Web apps, AI features, and the automation that holds them together — built to be handed off, documented, and maintained. I work remotely from Nicaragua with full working-day overlap across US time zones, in English and Spanish.
Full-stack · Live in production
A real-time AI tutor that holds spoken conversations with learners across six languages. I built and run the whole stack: a Lovable + React front end wrapped for iOS and Android, a Supabase backend, and OpenAI's Realtime API for low-latency voice. Payments run through multiple processors across two currencies. Two products share one codebase — a consumer app and a schools console.
The interesting problem — keeping a voice tutor on-level and on-lesson without it drifting into the wrong language or breaking pedagogy. That lives in the prompt architecture and session planning, not just the model.

Through Codiable, my studio, I build web and mobile apps for Nicaraguan businesses — admin panels, booking systems, internal tools. Small, fast, done right.

Custom web and mobile software for small businesses in Nicaragua.
Background
Healthcare Operations & Bilingual Interpreting — Years designing auditable record-retrieval workflows and interpreting across medical and legal settings — where I learned to turn tangled processes into clear systems and to communicate precisely in English and Spanish.
Web and mobile apps from blank page to production. React, TypeScript, Supabase, modern stacks.
Real-time voice, chat interfaces, LLM integrations, evals. Not demos — features that survive real users.
n8n, Make, and custom scripts that replace repetitive work with something that runs itself.
Build, document, and communicate fluently in English and Spanish.
01
A short call, then a written scope. You know exactly what you're getting and what it costs before I write a line of code.
02
Weekly visible progress. Working software over status reports, pushed to a repo you can see.
03
Documented, maintainable, and yours. I leave code that keeps working after the engagement ends.
Project-based or hourly, agreed on scope before anything starts. No retainers, no surprises. Tell me what you're building and I'll send a number.
Based in Nicaragua (UTC−6) — full working-day overlap with US teams across Eastern, Mountain, and Pacific.
Tell me what you're working on and where the hard part is. I'll reply with how I'd approach it — usually within a day.
